Mike Sangster and Rick Kennedy, supported by the ED OPTS, Bunmi Toyobo paid virtual courtesy visits to Mr. Chima Njoku, CEO of Elcrest Exploration and Production Nigeria and Mr. Lekan Akinyanmi, CEO Lekoil Nig.
The purpose of the visits was for OPTS to familiarize itself with its members, encourage indigenous company participation in OPTS, discuss industry issues and exchange ideas on how OPTS can better support indigenous companies going forward.
The visits have also given opportunities to update the Companies on the recent happenings in OPTS with particular reference to insecurity and crude theft challenges in the industry
A pertinent issue raised during one of the visits was on the imminent passage of the PIB. The Chairman commented that several Subcommittees would come together at a workshop to identify the issues that could potentially arise out of the Bill.
