We are pleased to announce that OPTS has a new Chairman, Mike Sangster. He is the Managing Director & Chief Executive Total Upstream Companies in Nigeria and Representative of Total Group. He succeeded Lorenzo Fiorillo as Chairman, OPTS in September, 2020.
Mike Sangster was appointed Managing Director & Chief Executive Total Upstream Companies in Nigeria and Representative of Total Group in Nigeria effective July 1 2019.
In his career at TOTAL, Mr. Sangster has served in various capacity with extensive experience in business and management.
Before his appointment as the Managing Director & Chief Executive of Total Upstream Companies in Nigeria, he was the Senior Vice President, Investor Relations of Total; Managing Director of Total E&P Australia; President & General Manager of Total E&P Thailand; Vice President Economics, Strategy and Planning for Total Exploration & Production; Vice President Business Development & Strategy for Total E&P USA, and Senior International Negotiator.
Prior to joining Total, Mike qualified as an Electrical Engineer at the University of Aberdeen and was Corporate Development Manager at Scottish Power.
